MY piece is called Do Different by Long Dog Samplers.  Here is last SAL's update

and this is today:

A bit wrinkled and some progress

left side

right side

Sorry about all the wrinkles.
See on the right side in the new area there is a large flower/clover.
I stitched most of this and then had to rip it out.
I did the same thing on the other side.  I guess I didn't learn how to count
the first time.

part way thru the tipping out process
Yes, I cleaned the area before re-stitching.

This is the corrected motif.

I hate to frog my stitching!

Keep warm everyone.  We are preparing for lots of snow
this week and some sub-degree temps as well.
Hopefully some extra stitching time.

I found my notes.  Over the week-end I ended up stitching 16.5 hours.  Not too bad I guess but still short of the 24 hours.  I can try again next time the group has a stitch-a-thon.

Well it was supposed to be a week-end of stitching - 24 hrs worth.  It was also the week-end to hermit and stitch.

I did manage the hermit part - minor cooking overall  and taking out the trash Sunday was the only things I did other than stitching and genealogy.

On Friday I did both.  Saturday I ended up doing 12 hours of genealogy - well into my stitching time.  But I was on a roll. One fact lead to another and so forth and it just kept going.  Until I was so bleary eyed that I could see straight which also means I could see to stitch.  Sunday I made up for the stitching but still managed only 8-9 hours on Sunday  (not sure where my notes are).  Once I find my notes I'll know exactly how long I stitched over the three days - it defintely was not 24 hours.  However I did Hermit for the whole long week-end.

this is what I had done after Friday night.
ON the left side, above the top triangle in black - that area was empty when I started Friday.
however, the far left side was done twice on friday as well.

This is what I stitched and then could not line up.
The "clover" area all came out.  It needed
to be moved on stitch down and one stitch to the right
and no was to fudge it.

And then it was gone
but it needed a good cleaning.

All cleaned up
and stitched in the correct spot.

It’s a marathon stitching weekend! During the weekend try to get as much stitching in as you can! The goal started as 24 hours, but we invite you to make it work for you!

So no matter if you’re on #TeamSleep or #TeamStitchAllNight we’d love for you to join in!
Remember, you can stitch for as much as you want, and just like before, a full 24 hours (consecutive or not) is not a requirement.
Let’s make a whole lot of x’s!!!

My goal for this cold week-end plus lots of soup and tea and a fire in the fire place!

I forgot to post a couple of items that should have been done at least by last week.  I can't believe how busy my January has been already.  I need things to slow down a bit but February is coming and doesn't have the same type of deadlines.

Let's start with the Avignon Santa.  Most current photo in January of 2022

Still more beads to go!

Pandemic
no overall photo but the problem child area

before ripping this whole area out
It didn't match up in the right area.

After re-stitching the entire motif
much better.

More later this week.

Sunday, January 9, 2022

It's SAL time and my first 2022 post.  Time has gotten away from me this past week -far too much to do for the start of the new year but it will slow down starting next week.

Here is Do different form the last SAL posting - overall view only:

Now for today's version

full, left then right sides

this side has the most progress

This shows the bottom middle motif progress the best.

I admit that I stitched on other projects the

week between Christmas and New Year's Day.

I just needed a break.

Happy NEW YEAR !

Enjoy seeing the other stitchers' progress:
