Easter is getting closer!

Rain, rain

March did arrive like a lion.
Horrible weather
But it looks as like it will go out like a lion as well.
Horrible weather - rain followed by more rain.

And add a few wind gusts.

Meanwhile we are preparing for Easter
(but it looks like the eggs will be handed out
not hunted)

All snow was gone by Tuesday morning.  It rained  and rained Monday night into Tuesday.  I stayed dry by hitting the computer and doing some overdue genealogy.

Sunday, March 25, 2018

Good thing I didn't do the updated photos yesterday.   This is what I saw out my window all day and into evening.

Look closely, that is snow again.  Official total was 8.2 inches.  This is not disappearing  quite so quickly.   Our house faces north, so everything in front dries slowly, snow disappears slowly, etc.  Directly across the street, about half their yard is minus snow.  However our back is still fairly deep - too many trees and shade - great for summer, not for snow to disappear.  Tomorrow they say it will get up to 50 degrees.  Mmmm - we shall see.

It turns out that most of the day I found things on tv to watch and stitch and stitch.  Also read a little in there somewhere too.

So the stitch update photos weren't taken until today.

Beads have been started
(mostly left side)

Spacing for everything has been worked out.
Underneath the row of greenery
(not yet finished)
will be words that mean something to me
I'm skipping the alphabet and numbers
really wrinkled so it looks a bit wonky

Now please go check what the rest of my SAL group has been doing
(or not - it happens to all of us)

Happy stitching !

This is what greeted me yesterday morning.
Today, 90% gone
Just a bit hiding in the shadows.
More is predicted for Saturday.
Spring has a strange sense of humor.

Yesterday was spent on genealogy.
Made great progress too.

I've already stitched some today and plan on more this evening.
Update with photos coming Sunday.

It's the first official day of spring.  Ha!   The temps here have dropped, the sky is gray and gloomy.  Not my idea of spring.  I hope that many of you are having a great first day of spring.

Pi day

Happy Pi Day!

Wednesday, March 7, 2018

It snowed.  Not much but a little and the temps have dropped.  It seems to be hit and miss.

On the other hand, my in-laws, and 3 of the nieces and nephew are being hit hard.

SAL update

It's that time again.   Some progress has been made despite my cold and a few days of not touching anything.  Here gores:

Very wrinkled
some prorgress

Also very wrinkled
nearly done

Ready for beads!
The whiskers won't be backstitched until the beads are done.
Don't want the beads hiding the whiskers.
Most of the face is a light purple/lavender in reality.
The dark pink is really more magenta.

Anyhow, go look at the rest of the group and enjoy their
delightful WIPs.

Behind a bit.  My cold seems to getting worse, not better.  I has stopped sneezing last week but now it's back again.  I'm ready for spring.

Here's an update on the pink cat as of 2-28-2018
