Here is my start.

If you look close, you can see my left side basting stitch
to help me keeo track,

SAL TIME

Hi all

It's SAL time and also Superbowl time.

First off, here are the other ladies in the SAL:

AN Open Heart is done, sorta.  It still needs some pearl-like beads which I had planned on doing this evening while the Superbowl (American football) is on because I listen not watch the game. However, the house is rooting for the Eagles, out of Philadelphia, my husband's hometown.

I took photos anyhow since the beads are a minor thing and you would really need to look for them.

 Overall

The top

On the left side, just under the corner

is a bead across from the start of the whitework

this where the rest of beads will go

down both sides

And the very bottom!

Make sure you visit everyone else!

Here is where I left off .

In Sequence

and lastly
where I was this morning

I felt the progression was the better way to show how much has been stitched
instead of one huge movement of taking it off the scroll frames.
I hate rewinding pieces  to get to the next spot
but ong ago I decided I needed the scroll frame
due to all the specialty and satin stitches.

Now go and enjoy the rest of the group!
For those in winter, stay warm!
we had snow last night.

Get well soon Helen.

 SAL again - 1st of 2023

I have been doing some "test" stitching to see what kept my interest.

I decided on An Open Heart by the Drawn Thread.

It's beautiful (to me) sampler
lots of different stitches

the scissor points are pointing to where I am right now

And here is a clear photo of where I am

the middle band has all the speciality stitches
next is a whitework border around everything
on the outside is a blackwork border
completed in a medium to light mauve

you can even see my basting stitches to keep me straight
and to count correctly

Please check out the rest of the stitchers

Dec 2

Time for more fun stuff.     23 days to Christmas!

Thursday, December 1, 2022

Pandemic is finished.  Nov 30th.  However, it needs cleaning up.  a few spills here and there.  It badly needs ironing - curled up edge, lots of rumples.  Give me a few days before unveiling.

Meanwhile

It's December already!  Time for the season.

It was in the 20's last night.
Early for where I live

Enjoy the season
More to come
