Still alive.  I am stitching but only here and there and very slowly.   Other things have a high priority but that all ends June 4th.

An updated Wave.

From a facebook group - two borders and part of the ship

Started this one near the beginning of February.

A small drawn thread piece.  9 total squares, each with some drawn thread.  This is all four corners with the "lines" pointing toward the center.

This is the center square.  I added three rows of the bargello.

Center squares of the top and bottom.  I added the beads - it was supposed to be plain.

Center square of the two sides.  I changed the satin stitching to a more vibrant pink.

The overall photo did not come out well so I will have to re-take that photo.

I still feel like I am missing something that I am working on.  The drawn thread piece is complete except for framing.   The other two pieces still need plenty of work.  And I have a whole slew of things just waiting to be finished as well things to be started and finished.

Progress is slow but still progress.

The year-to-date TUSAL

None of the threads are being compacted yet, just a bit of fluff so far.   Far prettier than what the photo shows.

This past week-end my EGA chapter had a retreat.  We had a class and studio time.  I did the class.  It is a piece called the Wave by Joni Stevenson.  Initially taught at an ANG seminar.  I have loved the piece ever since I saw a few years ago.  Now finally was my chance.

Here is my wave so far.

Actually the wave itself is the last thing to do.  It'll be awhile before mine has a wave.

I think this is the most up-to-date photo on Church of the Savior.   If not I'll try to take another.

I do have a few more projects in the works and thought I had photos but they aren't on the camera.  MIA.
I'll try to re-take the photos.

IT'S LEAP YEAR !

An extra day to the year.  An extra day of winter (blah).  Deadlines extended.  An extra day to stitch all day!!!!!  (my choice).

I have been busy with donation letters (to prove to the IRS that people made donations), 1099's  (think
w-2s for companies) and other misc ?$?#$<% things that have to be done financially for businesses and non-profits by January 31st of every year.  I do the books for 2 different non-profits plus run our neighborhood snow fund (no, the city will not plow our streets).  Thank heavens we haven't needed that much this year but then again the storms seem to be just starting.

I'm finally done.  I'm tired.  This year seemed to take forever and ever and ever and ever..........

This will be me for the rest of the evening (and probably has been me for the last few days).  Tomorrow morning I will sleep late.  Then I should feel better.  Maybe I will even get to stitch again.  That would make me feel lots better.  Meanwhile I think I will see what there is for dinner/supper/any meal.
