doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple questions:
S *Ask the individual to SMILE.
T *Ask the person to TALK and SPEAK A
SIMPLE SENTENCE (Coherently)
(i.e. Chicken Soup)
R *Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS.
If he or she has trouble with ANY ONE of these tasks, call emergency numberimmediately and describe the symptoms to the dispatcher.
New Sign of a Stroke --------
Stick out Your Tongue!
NOTE: Another 'sign' of a stroke is this: Ask the person to 'stick' out his tongue. If the tongue is
'crooked', if it goes to one side or the otherthat is also an indication of a stroke.
A cardiologist says if everyone who gets this e-mail sends it to 10 people; you can bet that at least one life will be saved.

update
I forgot to update my stitching yesterday. Better late then not. These two are the only pieces I worked on in the past week.

Update
It's been a busy week. And a bit chilly but the coming week is supposed to be colder yet. I wonder if that means I will stitch more? Either that or increase my genealogy or my reading time. Meanwhile I decided to stitch an hour a day on my big project and then the rest on other smaller or medium sized items.
Descending Order is my big project. Now all the borders are done except the bottom. There is a possibility that I may change something there, so it is "bottomless" right now. This week I started on the bands themselves. And here is my progress. Also remember that some days I did stitch more than an hour.

Sorry about the shadow.
The band interiors are being stitched with Threadworx #10891
It is more subtly overdyed than the borders (Dinky Dyes)
Have a great week!

It's SAL time. Interesting line up this time around. I have finished stitching three Halloween pieces. None of the are truly finished, not even ironed yet.
Avis, Claire, Gun, Carole, Sue, Constanze, Christina, Kathy, Margaret, Cindy, Linda, Heidi, Jackie, Sunny, Hayley, Megan, Deborah, Mary Margaret, Renee, Jenny, Carmela, Jocelyn, Sharon,
Daisy, Anne, Connie
A Lizzie Kate - one of three
Same booklet from Lizzie Kate - # 2
I posted this one on Halloween since that is when I finished it.
The other two I finished on Friday.
Now for my big piece
For the Witchy stitchy competition
(stitch an hour each day and post before and after photos)
I started this piece
A sampler by Long Dog Samplers
called
Descending Order
ONly I decided to do it in reds.
I've been wanting to do a red sampler but never quite
found the right piece. I decided this was the right piece.
Here it is so far.
I am stitching the borders in Heart Throb by Dinky Dyes silks.
When I get to the interiors, they will be done in threadworx.
And that is my stitching for the past 3 weeks.
Now check out the group:
Always great stitching to be seen!
